Privacy policy

Last updated July 2026

SayJar helps businesses collect testimonials and interview responses from people who choose to take part. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We keep it plain.

Who we are

SayJar is operated by Chatty Dog Magazine. You can reach us at hello@sayjar.com for any privacy question or request.

What we collect

When you respond to an interview link, we collect only what you provide: your answer(s), and optionally your name and email if you enter them. We record that you gave consent and when. Account holders also give us their email address to sign in. We do not ask for passwords, and we never ask for financial information.

Why we collect it

To let the person or business who invited you review your response and, only with your consent, publish it as a testimonial. Sign-in email is used solely to send you a secure magic link.

Consent and control

Nothing you submit is published unless you consented and the account holder approved it. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting the person who invited you, or us at hello@sayjar.com, and we will remove your response.

Sharing

We do not sell your data. Responses are visible to the account holder who invited you and, if published with your consent, to that account's audience. We use trusted infrastructure providers (hosting and email delivery) purely to run the service.

Retention

We keep responses for as long as the account holder's workspace is active, or until you or they delete them. Sign-in links expire automatically.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information at hello@sayjar.com. If you are in the UK/EU, you have rights under the UK GDPR / GDPR, including the right to complain to a supervisory authority.
